Need help with initial compilation.Return to overview

Hello,

I am having trouble understanding how to initially compile the ".pro" looking makefiles in the examples directory. I like the look of the software and it would be a good fit for couple programs in my lab, but I only have access to a VIM style linux terminal.

I have set the paths in the .pro file to the Sources and Headers in the .pro file... Any tips ? It seems like a dumb question but all examples I find are using IDEs and such.

Thanks,

Peter

Hello,

if i'm not mistaken pro files are pretty specific to QT, so you can't compile them with any c++ compilator/makefile. However, QT give us a tool to make makefiles from it. This tool is qmake which works similarly to cmake if i'm not wrong. They made a pretty detailed manual here https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qmake-manual.html if you want more information about it.
